Military Ordinance no. 8

Purpose: new conditions and prohibitions on trade along with new restrictions imposed by the authorities in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Main measures:

  • during the state of emergency, (i) the food markets remain open for agricultural producers holding a certificate in this regard, and (ii) phytopharmaceutical units remain open, provided that they comply with the preventive measures against COVID-19 spread;
  • the export for agri-food products indicated under the ordinance (e.g. wheat, oat, rice) is forbidden / suspended during the state of emergency;
  • intra-Community acquisition of the products described under the ordinance (e.g. wheat, oat, rice) is allowed only if the purchaser member state proves that the purchased products are intended for its own consumption, or for Community and not for export.
