Purpose: Approving GEO no. 132/2020 on support measures for employees and employers in the context of the epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, as well as to stimulate employment growth.
Main measure:
- Extension of the time during which employers can apply reduction of work time until the expiry of 3 months from the end of state of emergency/state of alert;
- Interdiction for the employer to hire staff to perform activities identical or similar to those performed by employees whose working time has been reduced, as well as to subcontract related activities at the level of subsidiary, branch or other secondary offices;
- employers whose employees have worked at least 15 working days in telework during the state of emergency or of alert are entitled to a financial support of RON 2,500 granted to employers for each teleworker for acquiring telework related goods or services.
