Andrei Petre is a next-gen Senior Associate highly specialized in the energy sector. He’s a commercially savvy lawyer whose standout expertise in energy regulatory law is only doubled by a strong focus on energy compliance and competition law which has enabled him to assist a wide array of leading international energy clients in top-tier files.

Andrei offers to-the-point advice to clients across the energy sector, ranging from power and gas supply, distribution to trading or renewables and e-Mobility and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure.

In competition law, his expertise includes representing clients before competition authorities, handling complex investigations and merger clearance, abuse of dominance, vertical restraints/horizontal agreements, state aid and unfair competition, and ensuring compliance with evolving competition regulations.

  • Co-developer of one of the firm’s products – Simple Contracting: a tool by which we take cluttered dry contract clauses that make it difficult to identify key business terms and by using clause wording design, we re-engineer the wording of clauses to reflect the essence in the simplest and most straightforward manner possible. With layout design, we apply UX design principles to make contracts easy to read and to work with. Designed contracts help deals close faster.
